Safe Tent Care Initiative has announced a fully sponsored vocational skill acquisition programme designed to train women and girls in practical, income-generating skills. The initiative will provide hands-on training in various trades to support economic empowerment.

The programme will take place across all Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Abia State. Applications are open until Wednesday, March 25, 2026.

The programme is organized by Safe Tent Care Initiative and targets women and girls residing in Abia State who are interested in learning vocational skills.

This initiative addresses unemployment and financial dependency by equipping participants with practical skills that can lead to self-employment, entrepreneurship, and improved livelihoods.

“This programme empowers women and girls in Abia State with free vocational skills training. If you or someone you know is in genuine need, please fill this form honestly,” the organizers stated.

Available training areas include:

  • Fashion Design (Sewing & Tailoring)

  • Hairdressing (Braiding, Relaxing, Weaving)

  • Makeup & Gele Tying

  • Bag & Shoe Making

  • Confectioneries and Food Processing

Applicants are advised to apply only once, as multiple submissions or false information will lead to disqualification. Selection will be based on screening and verification processes.
