Davido’s elder brother, Adewale Adeleke, has sparked reactions online after giving Nigerians a glimpse of the family’s newly completed Pacific Holdings headquarters in Lekki, Lagos.
Adewale, popularly known as ChairmanHKN, shared a video showing the impressive multi-storey glass building, offering followers a look at the company’s modern exterior, spacious lobby and sleek interior design.
The building quickly became a talking point on social media, with many Nigerians using the opportunity to discuss the wealth and business interests of the Adeleke family.
One of the comments that attracted attention came from a social media user who wrote: “With this kind of wealth, why I go dey jump for stage, why?” The comment appeared to reference Davido’s successful music career and the family’s established business background.
Other reactions similarly focused on the contrast between the family’s business interests and Davido’s decision to pursue a career in music. Pacific Holdings has long been associated with the Adeleke family. According to reports, the company was founded by Dr Adedeji Adeleke, Davido’s father, in 1983 and has interests spanning sectors including energy, real estate, education and logistics.
Adewale and his younger brother, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, are also associated with the family business, although Davido has built a separate global profile through his music career. The latest video has therefore given social media users another look at the business side of one of Nigeria’s most prominent families.
