The Enterprise Development Centre (EDC) of Pan-Atlantic University, in partnership with the Equinix Foundation, has officially launched SparkLab, a one-year incubation programme designed to support early-stage Nigerian technology startups and entrepreneurs with the resources needed to build and scale sustainable businesses.
The programme was unveiled at the EDC headquarters in Lagos as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen innovation-driven entrepreneurship and help founders transform ideas into market-ready solutions capable of creating economic impact.
Speaking during the launch, the Director of EDC, Dr. Nneka Okekearu, described SparkLab as a strategic platform aimed at nurturing ambitious entrepreneurs who are developing technology-driven solutions to address local and global challenges.
According to the programme organizers, SparkLab will provide participants with access to business development support, mentorship, entrepreneurial training, networking opportunities, and critical infrastructure needed to accelerate startup growth.
“Nigeria’s young entrepreneurs possess exceptional creativity and ambition. What they often need are the right tools, mentorship, infrastructure, and networks to bring their ideas to life. SparkLab provides exactly that,” a representative of the programme stated during the launch.
