Former Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, has lost her husband, Anthony Adeniyi Adeosun, popularly known as Niyi, who died at the age of 62 in Lagos.
The family announced his passing in a statement issued on behalf of the Adeosun family, confirming that he died on Wednesday, August 5, 2026.
According to the statement, Anthony Adeosun was a respected businessman and a devoted Christian whose life was defined by integrity, generosity and unwavering faith.
The family described him as a loving husband, father and brother whose impact extended beyond his immediate family through his service, compassion and commitment to his community.
Anthony Adeosun is survived by his wife, Kemi Adeosun, their children and his siblings, including Adewale Adeosun, founder of Kuramo Capital.
