The Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) has announced that applications are open for its Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Loans Programme, providing affordable financing to eligible businesses seeking to expand their operations, improve productivity, and create employment opportunities in Lagos State.
The initiative is part of the Lagos State Government's commitment to supporting entrepreneurship and strengthening the state's small business ecosystem by improving access to finance for MSMEs.
Under the programme, qualified businesses can access loans ranging from ₦50,000 to ₦5,000,000 at a competitive 9% interest rate per annum. One of the programme's key advantages is that the loans are offered without collateral, making financing more accessible to entrepreneurs who may not have substantial assets to secure traditional bank loans.
According to LSETF, the application process is conducted entirely online, allowing business owners to complete their applications conveniently from anywhere. Unlike many grant and loan programmes that operate within limited application windows, the LSETF MSME Loans Programme remains open throughout the year, enabling eligible entrepreneurs to apply whenever they require business financing.
The fund is intended to support businesses looking to expand their operations, purchase equipment, increase production capacity, improve service delivery, or create additional employment opportunities. Different loan categories are available to accommodate businesses at various stages of growth, from micro enterprises to more established small and medium-sized businesses.
Since its establishment, LSETF has continued to provide financial support, business advisory services, and capacity-building programmes to thousands of entrepreneurs across Lagos State. The fund was created to reduce unemployment, stimulate economic growth, and empower residents through enterprise development.
Business owners are encouraged to ensure they meet all eligibility requirements and prepare the necessary documentation before submitting their applications.
