NCDC Confirms No Ebola Case in Nigeria, Activates Emergency Surveillance

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC) has confirmed that there is currently no reported case of Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) in Nigeria.

In a public health advisory, the agency stated that surveillance systems have nevertheless been strengthened following Ebola-related deaths reported in the Democratic Republic of Congo and a confirmed imported case in Uganda.

According to the NCDC, emergency monitoring and response mechanisms are being intensified across the country to prevent any potential outbreak.
