The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has postponed the Computer-Based Test (CBT) for applicants participating in its Nigeria–Russia Scholarship Programme.
The examination, which was initially scheduled to take place on Monday, July 6, 2026, has been put on hold due to what the commission described as unforeseen circumstances beyond its control.
The announcement was made through an official public notice issued by the commission's Directorate of Education, Health and Social Services (EHSS).
According to the NDDC, the decision was taken to ensure the smooth conduct of the scholarship selection process despite the unexpected development.
In its statement, the commission apologised to all affected applicants for any inconvenience caused by the postponement.
It also expressed appreciation for the patience, understanding, and cooperation shown by candidates throughout the application process.
The NDDC assured applicants that a new date for the CBT will be announced in due course.
Candidates have been advised to regularly monitor their registered email addresses and the commission's official communication channels for updates regarding the rescheduled examination.
The Nigeria–Russia Scholarship Programme is part of the commission's broader human capital development initiative aimed at providing postgraduate education opportunities for qualified candidates from the Niger Delta region.
Successful applicants are expected to pursue advanced studies in various disciplines at partner institutions in Russia.
