Nigerian Army Opens 92RRI Recruitment for Skilled Nigerian Men and Women
The Nigerian Army has opened applications for the 92nd Regular Recruits Intake (92RRI), providing an opportunity for eligible Nigerian men and women, including applicants with relevant technical and vocational skills, to apply for recruitment.
According to the Nigerian Army recruitment portal, the 92RRI online application is currently ongoing, and the recruitment exercise is free of charge. Applicants are advised not to pay anyone for the application or for promises of selection.
The recruitment exercise is open to both tradesmen and women and non-tradesmen and women who meet the stipulated requirements. Applicants seeking to join as tradesmen or women are required to possess relevant trade qualifications, such as a Trade Test or City & Guild certificate, where applicable.
The application period runs through October 21, 2026, giving interested candidates time to review the requirements and complete their applications through the official recruitment portal.
Among the basic requirements, applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth, possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN) and Bank Verification Number (BVN), and meet the Nigerian Army's medical, physical and other eligibility requirements.
The Army also states that applicants must have the required educational qualifications and a valid birth certificate or acceptable age declaration. Candidates applying under the trades category must additionally meet the relevant trade qualification requirements.
Age requirements also vary depending on the category. According to the official recruitment guidelines, non-tradesmen and women must be between 18 and 22 years, while tradesmen and women must not be more than 26 years old by October 21, 2026.
Shortlisted candidates will undergo screening in their respective states of origin, with the screening exercise scheduled for November 17 to December 1, 2026. The Army has also stated that there will be no pre-selection Computer-Based Test.
