President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of Fayose as the new Chairman of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), alongside the appointment of 25 other Nigerians to the governing boards of various federal agencies.
The appointments form part of the Federal Government's ongoing efforts to strengthen public institutions and improve the delivery of essential services across key sectors of the economy.
According to a statement released by the Presidency, the newly appointed board chairmen and members are expected to provide strategic leadership, promote transparency, and support the effective implementation of government policies in their respective agencies.
Among the appointments, Fayose will lead the board of the Rural Electrification Agency, a federal institution responsible for expanding electricity access to underserved and off-grid communities across Nigeria.
