The Bank of Agriculture (BOA), in partnership with Heifer Nigeria, has opened applications for the National Agricultural Mechanisation Programme (NAMP), a tractor financing initiative designed to improve agricultural productivity and expand mechanised farming across Nigeria.
The programme provides eligible beneficiaries with access to modern tractors and agricultural implements through a structured Lease-to-Own financing model. The initiative forms part of the Federal Government's Renewed Hope National Agricultural Mechanisation Programme aimed at increasing food production, boosting agricultural efficiency, and supporting agribusiness growth nationwide.
According to the organisers, 2,000 tractors procured under the federal government's mechanisation programme will be deployed through a Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) system, allowing beneficiaries to gradually acquire ownership while actively using the equipment for farming operations and agricultural services.
