Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has reportedly endorsed his deputy, Obafemi Hamzat, as his preferred successor ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
The endorsement reportedly followed a closed-door meeting held at Lagos House in Marina, where Hamzat formally declared his intention to contest for the state’s top seat before members of the State Executive Council and senior party leaders.
