The Federal Government, led by Vice President Kashim Shettima, on Wednesday launched a new National Skills Programme in Abuja aimed at bridging the gap between training and employment by guaranteeing job placement for vocational graduates.
The Federal Government officially unveiled a new direction for youth empowerment and workforce development during the National Skills Roundtable titled “Bridging Skills Supply and Labour Market Demand.” The initiative marks a shift from previously fragmented youth programmes to a more structured and unified system focused on employability and job creation.
According to officials, the programme is designed to align vocational training with real labour market needs, ensuring that participants acquire skills that are directly relevant to industries and employers.
